Daytrip Skate Schedule

The organized trip will last about 2.5 hours, keeping in mind the time it will take for skaters to get unloaded and geared up before activities start; as well as to take gear off and get loaded back up after activities.

Students will focus on 2 main exercises: Off-ice training, and on-ice training. 1.5 hours off-ice and 1 hour on-ice.

Skaters will spend 30 minutes off ice using training equipment, doing obstacle courses, and more before OR after their hour of on-ice training.

Skaters then have 30 minutes to get skates on, and get comfortable in their skates before getting onto the ice. The Daytrip Coordinator will assist skaters and chaperones in skate sizing and tying. Coordinator will also lead off-ice exercises for balance and safety.

Skaters will start with 30 minutes of instruction from the Day-trip Coordinator. They will learn proper posture, safety, and fall recovery before moving on to skating skills.

Skaters then have 30 minutes of games and free skate.

Skaters will then have 30 minutes to take gear off and receive take-home bags before loading up to leave.
