PRIVATE LESSONS
INFORMATION ON PRIVATE LESSONS & COACHING STAFF
The Sioux Falls FSC takes great care in providing all of our skaters with a knowledgeable, educated, trained, and dedicated staff to ensure that each individual is safely receiving proper instruction when taking part in any of our programs, including private lessons.
All of our full time coaches are U.S. Figure Skating certified coaches and have completed both a background check, SafeSport training, and continuing education courses through the Professional Skaters Association.
Our part time instructors are ISI certified, have completed a background check, along with SafeSport training.
Outside Professionals interested in coaching private lessons should contact our Skating Director for further information.

SELECTING A PRIVATE LESSON COACH
When choosing a private coach, make sure you ask for their credentials and references. SFFSC coaching professionals are independent business owners that run their own private lessons. Some things to consider when selecting a coach are personality, learning and teaching styles, years of experience, technical knowledge, areas of expertise. In a sport that is constantly changing, it's important to select a coach who is an expert in their field. Please see the below document, "Hiring a Private Coach."
