Daytrip Skate Schedule
The organized trip will last a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours, keeping in mind the time it will take for skaters to get unloaded and geared up before activities start; as well as to take gear off and get loaded back up after activities.
Students will focus on 2 main exercises: Off-ice training, and On-ice training.
Time spent on each activity will depend on ice availability and student participation.
Off-ice training includes utilizing training equipment, doing obstacle courses, and more!
On-ice skating includes time necessary for getting skates on, and getting comfortable in their skates before getting onto the ice as well as on-ice instruction, activities, and games!
The Daytrip Skate Coordinator will assist skaters and chaperones in skate sizing and tying. Coordinator will also lead off-ice exercises where students will learn proper posture, safety, and fall and recovery before moving on to skating skills.
Following a conversation with the Daytrip Skate Coordinator, snack time, lunchtime, and crafts can become a part of the students’ itinerary with the Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club.
We would love to introduce the amazing ice sports to your group this Summer! Please email the Daytrip Skate Coordinator to get started!
